Creative Metier works with locally led impact networks to unlock their potential to resolve complex social and economic challenges; with socially committed leaders to deliver ambitious change in the most challenging contexts; and with ambitious, mission-aligned organisations to underpin rapid growth, radical change or strategic pivot. Small Foundation supported multi-year research and coaching by Creative Metier with impact networks in East and West Africa.

Systems lens

Small Foundation partnered with Creative Metier for an in-depth action research project to understand the needs and realities of African-led networks; and to support the networks in achieving their ambitions for social impact. Alongside our impact network learning partnership with Converge, this research focused on learning about the potential of highly leveraged cost-effective facilitation and coordination to recalibrate local dynamics and amplify the impact of African entities. These networks are committed to and better able to lead systemic shifts towards more prosperous business ecosystems.

Partner perspective

Quote from Creative Metier network research participant:

“Meeting with the East and West Africa networks and working together on financial sustainability has led us to partnering on six new applications and broadened our awareness of other potential funders. We have significantly widened our funder base over the past year, through our own direct efforts and through working with new partnerships with universities and others who share our values and goals. We have received funds from three new funders and are in conversation with five other potential new funders.”
